Q - Why do I have the "corrupted file" message during installation?
R - Check that the Windows temporary directory (c:\windows\temp or c:\winnt\temp for Windows NT) exists and that the C: disc is not full. If both conditions are fulfilled, a download error may have occured, the only solution being of downloading the version again.
Q - Does a MacOS or Linux version exist?
R - Unfortunately not.
Q - All the menus are grayed except the "Player / New" sub-menu and the "Golf / New" sub-menu.
R - No data entry have been recorded. Create one or more users and one or more golfs / courses.
Q - Users are configured as well as courses but the "Results" and "Statistics" menus are grayed.
R - Select a user and check that its name is displayed in the status bar.
Q - Access to the bottom of the golfs, courses or results windows is impossible.
R - Resize the main window to full screen or move the windows inside the main window. RIPGolf will not work for a screen resolution lower than 800*600, or with a 800*600 resolution if Windows is configured with large font (cf "Start/Parameters/Control panel/Display/Parameters/Advanced/General").
Q - It is impossible to record more than 5 results.
R - RIPGolf is a shareware, it is the limitation of the evaluation version. The license makes it possible to download an unlimited version which allows to record up to 1024 different results.
Q - Why use RIPGolf instead of a web site.
R - Once purchsed, the RIPGolf license allows you to get all the new releases of the software. Moreover the user does not rely on a company or on a website to access his statistics as the application is stand-alone.
Q - Is it possible to pay with credit card?
R - Yes, through the world famous PayPal service (http://www.paypal.com). PayPal protects your data thanks to the best security systems. When using PayPal your financial data is not sent to the vendor. Once your purchase accepted, a receipt is automatically sent by email to detail the transaction.
